Lower Back Pain
There are many potential causes of low back pain, and the specific cause can vary depending on the individual. Low back pain is a significant cause of pain and disability within our population with approximately 85% of the worlds population experiencing back pain at some point in their life – but what causes these problems, and what can we do for it?
Neck pain
Neck pain is a common condition that affects a significant portion of the population worldwide. According to data from the World Health Organization, neck pain is the fourth most common cause of musculoskeletal pain globally. In general, it’s been found that the prevalence of neck pain is higher in adults, with a peak between the ages of 30-50 years old.
Shoulder pain
Shoulder pain is a common problem that can have a variety of causes. Shoulder pain is estimated to be as high as 70%. Factors that increase the risk of developing shoulder pain include aging, overuse, and certain occupations or activities that involve repetitive motions of the arm and shoulder.
Sciatica
Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back down through the buttock, the back of the thigh, and into the leg. Studies have found that sciatica is more common in older adults, particularly those over the age of 50 years old. However, it can occur in people of any age. It is also more common in men than women.
Headaches
Headaches are a common condition that affects a significant portion of the population worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), headaches are the most common neurological disorder, with an estimated 47% of adults experiencing a headache at least once within the last year.
Hip pain.
Hip pain is a common problem that can have a variety of causes. According to a systematic review from the journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the lifetime prevalence of hip pain is estimated to be as high as 20%. Factors that increase the risk of developing hip pain include aging, obesity, overuse, and certain occupations or activities that involve repetitive motions of the hip.
